Sylvester has experience in a broad range of contentious matters, including commercial litigation, shareholders disputes, contractual disputes, contentious probate, fraud, injunction, defamation, enforcement of (foreign) judgments, debt collection, landlord and tenant disputes, employment, intellectual property disputes, property litigation, judicial review, tort, trust, winding up – many of which involve cross border and multi-jurisdictional issues.
Sylvester regularly advises corporate clients in relation to bribery, the handling of EOC complaints and discrimination cases and the settlement thereof. His practice also includes handling sales and purchases of majority stakes in companies, and non-contentious probate and its subsequent administration.
Sylvester facilitates client engagement by simplifying complex legal issues and finding the most practical solution supported by solid legal analyses and commercial strategies, while also taking care of any public relations issues.
