Claire Wu is the partner of Shanghai RH Law Firm. Her work focuses on direct China investment, mergers & acquisitions, employment and intellectual property.
Before Claire joined us, Claire was the Legal Counsel of the China legal team of METRO Group, a Fortune 500 retailing giant in Germany. She was in charge of the legal issues arising from METRO's operations in China, including in respect of sourcing and distribution, employment, tax, dispute resolution and regulatory compliance. She coordinated the managerial staff legal and compliance program for 38 METRO stores all over China in 2009.
Before joining METRO Group, Claire worked in a number of prestigious local and foreign law firms in Shanghai, she assisted multi-nationals in respect of investment and restructure of business operations in China for tax-efficiency and regulatory compliance.
